LO1: BBC1 radio task 2 (P2)

   


For a radio show to become successful the company has to consider the factors of their ownership model, if the station is local of national, if the station will gain a profit from the station, the genre and the purpose of the station, the target audience, how the station is distributed and its synergy methods and the main presenters contained on the station. A radio station would have to consider these variables to guarantee the station to become successful and be valuable for the audience. 

BBC1 radio is a company that considered these factors when creating its show, for example the ownership model for the breakfast show is Claire Lomas and the show targets the local areas such as the Uk, this is to help target the audience easier and make the audience more accessible and the breakfast show to be more known and popular. This station was a none profit radio station for it was to educate and inform the public on the events happening in their region, this station is based on talking about the recent news occurring and the news on sport, business and updates on the weather that will be occurring soon. These factors are broadcasted to the audience to educate and inform them on the situations and how the world is operating in different areas of the UK. 

This station has a flexible target audience for different topics can interest different audience members, the basic target audience for the show is 15 - 29 year olds of all genders that live in the UK region. The audience members are seen to be aspires and mainstreams, aspirer audience members are people that aspire to know more and want to be educated and know information occurring that could possibly effect them and their lives. Mainstreamers are audience members that see the events as normal and are involved with the media and believe what they read and see on the media. The social class for this radio station would be the social class of C1C2DE people for they are the working class people that would be listening to the radio when they are on their way to their jobs. 

In this radio station the main presenters are Louise Michin, Naga Munchetty, Charlie Stayt and Dan Walker. These people are the presenters of the station for their own reasons, the main reason why these people are the main presenters of the show is because they are well known by the audience meaning they will attract the audience to the station. Louise Michin is a well known person, she’s admired by people and she is also a attractive person meaning people would enjoy to watch and listen to her, Naga Munchetty is also a attractive lady that would attract an audience, she’s a different ethnicity to show how the station is friendly to all people and she is also a known lady by many. Dan Walker is a English journalist, newsreader as well as a television presenter meaning he also has gained a fan following that would attract people to the station, Charlie Stayt is rated on the best recognised faces in British tv meaning he would be by may people and would attract people from him being familiar to them. These presenters where chosen for a purpose of bringing more attraction to the station and to increase the success of the station.

LO4: Editing process

Advert   These screenshots show how there is different layers to the advert audio and how I have created a multitrack to have all the different types of audio contained on the same page so then I can further edit them together. To improve the advert when creating it I have made sure to change the tempo of some of the audios so they do not over power the voiceover for the advert, I have made sure to smoothly fade the audios into the track to make sure that the advert is gradual and sounds professional.  This screenshot shows how I have exported the file to a WAV format which would further be exported to a mp4 file type so I could further put the audio onto my blog. This advert has had a voice change making it is that the original voice used for the advert is edited and improved to make it sound more joyful and appealing for a advert, this means that the advert sounds more appealing and have more of an effect towards the audience so they would be more persuaded to visit the cafe...

LO4: Offline edit

  This is a offline edit of all the footage we have for the radio show, this shows the generic layout of the radio show and shows us how we will have the flow of the radio show. This is done to help test the layout of the radio show and to see how we will help with the flow of the radio show to make it have more of a professional feel towards it. This will also help with the editing process of the radio show because it will help us expand our ideas with the editing and see where certain audio effects would be added and where they would be suitable to be added.

LO4: Final edit

  This is the final edit of our radio show, it contains the jingle and the advert that we have created. This footage shows how have edited to original footage to create a interesting and professional radio show, we have done this through the different editing techniques we have used and all the audio effects and different sound effects we have added. This has made it easier with the flow of the radio show and made it so that the radio show sounds professional and suitable for its topic.
