DAB DAB is a digital audio broadcasting service that has transmissions made up of zeroes and ones, from there being no specific frequency that the bands have to stick to it means that they can further send out the same signals multiple times. This means that the persons radio has more chance of picking up signals making DAB radio more reliable than its FM counterpart. On the other hand a few disadvantages of DAB would be that they can damage the quality of the content meaning it is not as clear as FM radio. Another disadvantage of DAB would be that the DAB radio can be very slow and not reliable. FM FM is a frequency modulation, this is one of the main radio frequency's in the UK. The FM radio uses frequencies from 87.5 MHz to 108MHz, these types of radio stations have better quality than DAB radio.
